Mary MadisonIn addition to being a regular volunteer with the Legal Aid Society of San Bernardino (where she received the 2018 Access to Justice Award), Mary Madison Campbell is the owner of Peaceful Legal, which offers mediation, estate planning, and divorce coaching. She also is a mediation panelist with the California Mediation and Arbitration Service and the Riverside Family Law Court. In addition to her mediation and law practice, Mary is certified as a Forgiveness Coach and is a teacher for University of California Extension's Conflict Resolution Certificate Program. Mary teaches Introduction to Mediation, Facilitation and Community Engagement, and she previously taught Managing Community Conflict and a Theory-to-Practice seminar. Mary is also the Southern California Coordinator for the California Agricultural Mediation Program - a US Department of Agriculture certified program that works with ranchers, farmers, insurance companies and rural homeowners throughout California. She has worked with five community-based mediation centers in Maryland and California, mediating everything from family disputes to criminal charges. Mary also has written and published extensively on Native American and environmental issues as well as environmental topics for the Chesapeake Bay region. Mary earned her Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University and her Juris Doctor from the Martin Luther King School of Law at the University of California at Davis, where she also completed a certificate in Public Interest Law.
